Ikea took home the Grand Prix for Health and Wellness at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity with its “ThisAbles” collection of products designed to help those with disabilities better navigate their own homes. A project that took off in Israel, Ikea worked directly with a group of people living with disabilities to better understand challenges they face with everyday furniture and home appliances to create simple solutions. Basic attachments or lifts made a world of difference to these folks who can now feel comfortable at home.
